Sometimes words just can’t express how much your child sponsorship means to children, families and entire communities around the world. Sometimes it simply takes a photo to show how much your support and words of encouragement can brighten up a child’s day.
This year, thousands of child sponsors just like you sent messages of hope and inspiration to children through back-to-school maps and cards. And recently, we had the chance to capture the magical moment when children in Zimbabwe received your messages.
Now, we want to share the joy and excitement of this experience with you!
“I was very happy to learn they are from our sponsors!” shared one recipient.
“Our teacher uses the maps to teach us about the world,” explains one of the girls, who was interested to find out where Zimbabwe and Canada are located.
“Young children learn through play so these materials go a long way in helping our children learn,” adds Ms. Mwonzora, another local teacher.
“I feel very happy to hear from my sponsors,” expressed one sponsored boy. “I like making drawings for them.”
All were left with feelings of hope and gratitude, proving that your kind words and thoughtful actions, can open up a whole new world of connection and possibility.
It also inspired them to ask us to share a special message back: THANK YOU!
“Greetings back to all the sponsors in Canada!” says one happy recipient. “I hope to thank them for all the good they are doing.”
