“Thank you for thinking of us,” shares Rosena, a mother of 4 girls who is currently pregnant with her fifth child.
When Hurricane Matthew struck Haiti on October 4, 2016 it completely destroyed her home, and the homes of her neighbours.
“We lost everything: our house, our garden, identity papers, cattle, school, furniture – everything,” she says.
But, thanks to the generosity of donors, Rosena and her family received emergency assistance when they needed it.
“I am so happy that Plan International didn’t forget the families,” she reflects.
Those who contributed to our efforts in Haiti have already enabled us to distribute over 2,000 hygiene kits and food kits to the most affected people, providing them with crucial items like:
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Sanitary products
- Blankets and towels
- Soap and bucket
- Food such as rice, beans, salmon, milk, pasta, sugar and cooking oil
Through your support, we will continue to assist up to 25,000 families, helping them recover and rebuild their lives in the coming weeks and months.
Let families know they aren’t forgotten. Help us reach and protect even more children with ongoing aid and support.
