Plan International’s Because I am a Girl is a global initiative to promote girls’ rights and end gender inequality. To achieve gender equality, we know that engaging boys and men is part of the solution. We know when both girls and boys have equal access to education, healthcare and other basic human rights, everyone wins!
In fact, Plan International’s Because I am a Girl: “So what about boys?” report revealed how gender equality is good for boys and men too! Gender equality can give young boys and men the chance to break gender norms and stereotypes – helping them build positive relationships, based on mutual trust, while embracing their own identities.
