Fadi: A Goat’s Tale

Hey, I’m Mustapha from Cameroon and my family got Fadi last year.

Here’s the story of how my best friend, Fadi and her family helped our family thrive.

I was playing in our yard when my parents came home with a small herd of goats that they received from our neighbour.

To make sure our goats remained healthy, my mom attended some classes where they taught her how to take care of them and my dad built them a shelter.

Since then my family has been able to grow lots of vegetables from the goat manure and we’re able to drink yummy milk.

Me and my siblings are now able to go to school because we get money from selling our veggies at the market.

This year Fadi’s mom gave birth and we were able to give our other neighbour’s a small herd of goats.

Mustapha is one of many children benefitting from our livestock Gifts of Hope, to date over 4,500 goats have been distributed in Cameroon.

To date over 25,000 goats have been distributed around the world.

I wish all children in our community could have a friend like Fadi so that we can all go to school together.

This holiday season, spread hope by buying a goat!

OUR GOATS AREN’T SYMBOLIC; THEY’RE REAL AND CHANGING LIVES

This story was inspired by what actually happens when you purchase a goat from our Gifts of Hope catalogue. But if you’d like more information on why livestock is a meaningful gift and should be at the top of your holiday wish list, click here.
